The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 27th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.

Offense

QB Cooper Drews, Jr., Bethel

Drews completed 38-of-48 passes for 405 yards and six touchdowns in the Royals' 49-7 win over Carleton. It was the second 400-yard game of Drews' career. His six scoring strikes matched a career high. Drews also ran for 27 yards and scored a touchdown from 2 yards out in the win.

OL Matthew Leofanti, John Vincent, Jaeden Ortiz, Philip D'Alleva, Joshua Yentz, Bridgewater State

The Bears' offensive line was immense in a dramatic 41-35 overtime victory over MASCAC foe Anna Maria. The AMCATs entered the game tied for first in the conference standings. Senior Andrew Cloutman rushed for career highs of 237 yards and four touchdowns while classmate Isaiah Wright added 102 yards on the ground. The Bears racked up 366 yards on the ground and 549 yards of total offense (both season highs).

RB Ryan Clemens, Fr., Washington and Lee

Clemens had a career day, leading the team to their fifth-straight win with a 35-14 victory over Roanoke. Clemens rushed 22 times for a career-high 223 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 10.1 yards per carry. He had touchdown runs of 7, 28 and 39 yards.

RB Damien Jones, Jr., University of New England

Jones set career highs with 267 rushing yards (11.1/carry) and four touchdowns in a loss at Curry. Scored on runs of 78, 47, 27, and 12 yards. Had the program season record of 575 yards on the ground last year, and just went over 1,000 this season.

WR Albert Rundell, Jr., Bethel

Rundell caught 21 passes for 214 yards and five touchdowns in the Royals' 49-7 win vs. Carleton. His 21 receptions represent new single-game program and conference records, while his five touchdowns broke the single-game Bethel record and tied the single-game MIAC record.

WR Nicholas Lang, Jr., Ithaca

Lang produced the best game of his career during Ithaca's 24-23 victory at RPI last Saturday as he accounted for all three IC touchdowns and caught eight passes for 201 yards, including a long of 58 yards. Lang hauled in a 7-yard scoring grab in the second quarter and then scored twice in the fourth quarter on completions of 46 and 19 yards, the second of which ended up being the game-winning score.

TE Reed Breckheimer, Carroll

Breckheimer delivered a dominating performance in Carroll's 34-14 road win over Illinois Wesleyan. Breckheimer rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on just eight carries, averaging an explosive 12.5 yards per rush. He scored on runs of 21, 24, and 5 yards, consistently breaking through the Titan defense and finishing drives. He also added 63 receiving yards on eight catches, totaling 163 all-purpose yards.

Defense

DE Aidan Ross, Jr., Mary Hardin-Baylor

Ross totaled five tackles against then-No. 5 Hardin-Simmons, adding two tackles for loss and one and a half sacks. Ross totaled 22 yards lost and added one forced fumble in the win.

DT Gage Cornell, So., Alfred State

Cornell tallied 12 tackles (6 solo), with two and a half tackles for a loss and one and a half sacks in a 35-28 win against Alfred.

DT Tyler Primrose, Sr., Washington & Jefferson

Primrose racked up a career-high three sacks and three tackles for loss. He halted a Geneva drive with a third down sack in the third quarter, while adding another in the back end of the quarter. The seventh-straight victory helped the Presidents secure at least a share of the Presidents' Athletic Conference title and the conference's automatic bid.

DE Luke Brosig, Sr., Carroll

Brosig recorded two and a half tackles for loss and two and a half sacks for 22 yards in Carroll's win against Illinois Wesleyan. His third-quarter sack helped end a Titan drive, and he added another in the fourth to seal the win. Brosig's performance anchored a defensive unit that allowed just one offensive touchdown through three quarters.

LB Aidan Lochner, Jr., Cortland

Lochner recorded six tackles, four solo, intercepted a pass and registered two pass breakups to help Cortland defeat Brockport, 44-14, and clinch the Empire 8 title for the fifth straight year. Lochner's interception came early in the fourth quarter with the Red Dragons up 30-14. He returned the ball 14 yards to the Brockport 6-yard line, and Cortland scored on the next play to extend the lead to 37-14.

LB Caleb Brubaker, Sr., Grove City

Brubaker recorded two sacks, an interception, three tackles for loss, 11 solo tackles and 15 total tackles Saturday in Grove City's 28-14 victory at Case Western Reserve. His interception with 1:39 left in the game helped preserve what was a 21-14 lead. Brubaker helped Grove City hold the Spartans to 71 rushing yards on 27 carries and a 4-of-16 performance on third down.

LB Daniel Santos, Sr., Rochester

Santos logged a career-high 16 tackles, with nnine solo stops in Rochester's 14-10 loss to Liberty League leader Union. He chipped in three and a half tackles for loss, for 12 yards and also recovered a fumble. One of Santos' tackles for loss came on a key third-and-1 play, late in the fourth quarter, stopping quarterback Patch Flanagan for a loss of 5 yards, allowing the Yellowjackets to get the ball back for a chance at a potential game-winning drive.

CB Legend Doggett, Sr., LaGrange

Doggett, playing in the biggest game LaGrange has seen in more than a decade and a half, picked off two passes with 29 yards of return. Doggett's interceptions came against a 3-time conference Offensive Player of the Week as the Panthers defeated Belhaven, 38-6.

S Chase Laux, So., Merchant Marine

Laux recorded two and a half sacks for combined losses of 21 yards in the Mariners' 34-14 home victory over WPI. He had a half-sack on a third-down play late in the first quarter that led to an Engineer punt where USMMA went on to tie the game on the ensuing drive. He then picked up two more third-down sacks (both solo) in the second half, one in the third quarter and another in the fourth.

S Taylor Sussner, So., UW-River Falls

Sussner totaled six tackles (five solo) along with one tackle for loss and one sack to lead the Falcons to a 41-7 win over No. 9-ranked UW-La Crosse, clinching at least a share of the WIAC Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs. In addition, he collected a pair of interceptions, returning one 65 yards for a touchdown.

CB Marcus Boyle, Jr., Ithaca

Boyle made two tackles in a crucial 24-23 Liberty League victory at RPI on Saturday but his major impact on the game was felt with a pair of interceptions, including his second pick on the final play of the contest. His first interception occurred in the third quarter and led to Ithaca tying the game at 10-10 with a 32-yard field goal.

Special teams

K Ben Bortel, Fr., Grinnell

Bortel broke the school record for kicking points in a game with 13 as the Pioneers rolled over Lawrence 63-6. He kicked seven extra points, fifth all-time at GC, and was 2-for-2 on field goals, connecting from 46 and 41 yards. The 46-yarder is the sixth-longest in program history.

P Hagan Lineberger, Fr., Capital

In a 7-3 battle against Muskingum, Hagan helpled the Comets with what was proving to be vitally important field position in the game as he had three punts (44.3-yard average) for Capital which included two which each went 51 yards and landed inside the 20. His last punt of the day pinned the Muskies at their own 1. He also successfully converted a fourth-and-6 fake punt to secure a first down on the drive that eventually led to the Comets' lone score of the day.

RET Jeremyah Lane, So., Brevard

Brevard took a 27-0 lead on Methodist by the time the second half kickoff was settled, and Jeremyah Lane had a big part in that surge. He returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown with 2:07 left in the first half, and returned a kickoff 90 yards for a TD with just 13 seconds gone in the second half.

ST Ty Kazanowsky, Jr., Amherst

Kazanowsky had a game-turning interception, as he stepped in front of a two-point conversion pass by Williams, intercepted it at the goal line, and ran it all the way back 100 yards for a defensive two-point conversion in the third quarter of Amherst's rivalry game win. Instead of Williams leading 15-9, the Ephs were up just 13-11, setting up the opportunity for the Mammoths to win it with a field goal. He also had five tackles, half a tackle for loss, and a forced fumble in the win.
