Scots Close Season with Setback to #22 Trinity Texas
November 15, 2025MARYVILLE, Tenn. - Maryville College closed its 2025 football season on Saturday afternoon, falling 31–14 to No. 22 Trinity (TX) at Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium. The Scots finish the year 7–3 overall and 4–3 in SAA play. -

October 05, 2024The Maryville Scots, after seeing last week's game against Brevard postponed because of Hurricane Helene, returned to the field Saturday at LaGrange and delivered a 38-13 thumping to the host Panthers. -

Maryville and Huntingdon Tied Atop League Preseason Football Poll
August 10, 2017(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - Huntingdon College, under the direction of 14th-year Head Coach Mike Turk, and Maryville College, led by third-year Head Coach Shaun Hayes, tied atop the 2017 USA South Athletic Conference Preseason Football Coaches Poll. The Hawks and Scots shared last year's USA South championship but it was Huntingdon who earned the Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament by way of its 28-24 win over Maryville during regular season play. The Hawks fell in the first round of the playoffs and finished with a 9-2 overall record while Maryville completed the 2016 campaign with an 8-2 overall mark. The USA South championship was the second consecutive for Huntingdon and the third for Maryville in its history. -
Maryville's Ethan Williams named Preseason All-American
August 02, 2017Maryville College's Ethan Williams has been named as a preseason All-American from D3football.com this week, becoming only the 5th Fighting Scot since 2000 to earn such an honor. -

September 19, 2015The Maryville College Scots moved to 3-0 for the first time since 2007 after defeating Emory & Henry, 30-13, for the first victory over the Wasps since 1999 in the 100th anniversary of the beginning of rivalry.
