Coe needed double overtime, but remained unbeaten, while Ithaca handed Rochester its first loss, Delaware Valley and FDU-Florham set up a conference showdown, and the Goat took a trip across town in Saturday's Division III football action among unranked teams.
Coe survived a defensive slugfest to remain unbeaten as the Kohawks defeated Central 16-13 in double overtime. After the teams traded field goals to end regulation tied at 3, Coe started overtime with a touchdown as quarterback Clay Krousie swept right and was able to turn the corner for a 17-yard score. Central responded as Brady Ketchum found Cam Schulte for a 6-yard TD to tie the score. Coe was able to hold the Dutch to a field goal in the top half of the second overtime, and the offense didn't make fans in Cedar Rapids wait long, as Krousie found Jeron Senters along the right sideline and he took it in for the game-winning score.
Even with 50 yards of total offense between the two overtimes, Coe finished with just 327 total yards on the day. But the defense held Central to 225 yards, 184 in regulation.
Ithaca handed Rochester its first loss of the season and did so in a stifling manner, defeating the Yellowjackets 24-0. Rochester (5-1) turned the ball over three times in the first half, but Ithaca (2-3) could not take good advantage, only leading 3-0 at the intermission. The second half was all Bombers with three touchdowns on offense and two defensive turnover on downs with Rochester in the red zone.

Lebanon Valley (2-3, 2-2) had multiple chances to retake the lead in the fourth quarter but fumbled the ball at the DelVal 1, turned the ball over on downs at the DelVal 6, and then fumbled the ball in Aggies' territory on the final play of the game.
Next Saturday DelVal will host FDU-Florham (5-0, 4-0) which remained the conference's lone undefeated team. Devils quarterback Ryon Thomas threw for three scores and ran for one more in FDU's 37-26 win over Alvernia. CNU (2-3) had led for the entirety of the fourth quarter up until that point, after Connor Barry ran for a touchdown with four seconds left in the third quarter. It was the second of two touchdowns in the third to help CNU rally after Dickinson (3-2) had taken a 24-14 lead. After the Captains failed on a field goal attempt that could have pushed the lead to seven, the Red Devils took over with just over five minutes to play and engineered a 16-play, 80-yard drive that led to the winning score with 57 ticks left on the clock. Dickinson's defense then held the Captains from picking up a first down in the final minute.

On the second TD, Elijah Short returned the extra point attempt 88 yards for a defensive two-point conversion, turning a potential 17-14 score into a 19-13 advantage for St. Olaf. Trailing by six, the Knights had a first-and-goal at the 6-yard line with 1:04 remaining, but the Oles' defense forced four consecutive incomplete passes to secure the win.
