(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The 11th-ranked Thomas More College football team rolled up 502 yards of total offense today (Saturday, October 31, 2015) as it defeated Waynesburg University, 42-13, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. With the win, the Saints remain undefeated at 9-0 overall and 7-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 3-6 overall and 2-5 in the PAC.Thomas More never trailed as it led 7-0 after one quarter, 21-0 at halftime and 35-6 after three quarters.The Saints took a 7-0 lead when sophomore quarterback Brenan Kuntz (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) connected on a four-yard touchdown pass to junior fullback Colin Justice (Park Hills, Ky./Beechwood) and senior place kicker Tommy Budke (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) added the point-after-attempt with 7:35 to play in the first quarter.Thomas More increased the lead to 14-0 with 10:42 to play in the second quarter when senior wide receiver Tyler Vogelpohl (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) scored on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Kuntz and Budke added the PAT.   Kuntz and senior wide receiver Goose Cohorn (Independence, Ky./Dixie Heights) connected on an 89-yard touchdown score and Budke added the PAT and the Saints led 21-0 with 6:09 to play in the first half.  The 89 yard pass play tied Thomas More's longest pass play in history which was set by Jesse Lowrey and Phil Beverly against Defiance College in 1999.With 8:26 to play in the third quarter Cohorn scored on a 36-yard pass from Kuntz and Budke added the PAC as the Saints increased the lead to 28-0.Thomas More extended the lead to 35-0 when senior wide receiver Cody Schonburg (Louisville, Ky./Holy Cross) scored on a two-yard run and Budke added the PAT with 4:00 to play in the third quarter.Waynesburg cut the lead to 35-6 when Jerry Lawman scored on a 22-yard run and Scott Lewis' PAT failed with 1:14 to play in the third quarter.  The Saints increased the lead to 42-6 with 9:49 to play in the game when Justice scored on a five-yard pass from sophomore quarterback Cameron Lane (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) and Budke added the PAT.Waynesburg closed out the scoring with 1:58 to play in the game when Joe Malta scored on a three-yard pass from Jake Daugherty and Lewis added the PAT as the Saints won the game 42-13.Thomas More finished with 502 yards of offense (185 rushing, 317 passing), while the defense held Waynesburg to 210 yards of offense (114 rushing, 96 passing). Kuntz was 17-of-23 passing for 317 yards and five touchdowns.  Freshman running back Hjavier Pitts (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Healthy) led the Saints on the ground with 12 rushes for 123 yards, while freshman running back Luke Zajac (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) finished with seven carries for 63 yards.  Cohorn led the receivers with five catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns.  Sophomore wide receiver Daylin Garland (Newport, Ky./Newport) finished with five catches for 45 yards and Vogelpohl finished with two catches for 69 yards and one touchdown.Sophomore linebacker Tre' Tunstill (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) led the Saints' defense with eight tackles (five solo, three assisted), including a half tackle for a loss.  Senior linebacker Nick Pennekamp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) had seven tackles (four solo, three assist), including one tackle for a loss and senior defensive back Kyle Fuller (Taylor Mill, Ky./Holy Cross) finished with six tackles (four solo, two assisted), including a tackle for a loss.Thomas More closes out the regular season next Saturday (November 7) when it travels to Cleveland, Ohio to play 23rd-ranked Case Western Reserve University at 1 p.m. at DiSanto Field.  With a win over Case Western Reserve the Saints would clinched their sixth undefeated regular season in program history.  The win would also give the Saints the 2015 PAC Championship and automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Playoffs.
